Images that speak… An intense journey into black & white portraiture. You have heard it said that few things in life are black and white. Join Tim as he delves deep into capturing the things that are black and white in our lives with amazing black and white portraiture. This journey will begin with defining your style and doing so with purpose and emotion. Then learn how effectively marketing the style allows you to connect with the right clients. From there, roll up your sleeves as Tim shows you the three light system that defines their iconic Relationship portraits, followed by a few posing ideas to accomplish imagery that touches the hearts of the clients. Not stopping here, he will cover additional material such as what he looks for in a great black and white portrait, fulfilling your vision through post-capture the Walden way and the importance of the “print” in building family legacies. And finally, he will end with the importance of providing an amazing client experience and bringing your a-game to the sales room. If you desire to be excellent at black and white portraiture and are looking to add or advance your offerings with a true fine art black and white line to separate you from the masses, then you want to be at this program.
Bio-Tim Walden Tim took over Walden’s Photography from his father in 1980, taking the studio in an entirely different direction when he developed the Walden trademark “Relationship” Black and White Fine Art portraiture. Today, he and his wife Beverly run a high-end studio, providing beautifully crafted images for their clients as well as traveling the world teaching and sharing with other photographers.

With over 30 years experience, Susan, Master-Craftsman Photographer and her husband Rodger have consolidated their studios to combine both their creativity and technical aspects in photography. Four years ago, they designed and built an all natural light studio to which they mainly cater to their children's business which consists about 70% of their sales. In this class, they will cover how to photograph kids from newborns to tweens and how this has increased their business. They will have several models and will demonstrate different lighting techniques and how they handle different lighting situations. They will also cover their children specials, baby programs and marketing ideas that have worked for them to help them build up their clientele and overall business. Rodger will demonstrate how he processes the images and adjustments that will make your images "pop" and set yourself apart from your competitor. This will be a Hands-On class, bring your camera and be ready to have fun!
