Background Painting Plus SUSAN TREFT M. PHOTOG. CR. Instructor SEGMENTS I & II - ANY LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE Class limited to 6 students per segment

In this class students will learn how to paint on muslin using paints and dyes. Susan has many years of background painting experience. Photographers everywhere covet her scenics and florals. Susan will demonstrate how to paint everything from non-descript to scenics.

Susan’s class is very popular and fills quickly each year. This year her class will be offered in both segments, however only after the first segment is filled, will the second segment be opened for enrollment. Class size has been reduced for both segments to allow Susan more time to work with each student. Segment II will be a repeat of
Segment I.

Each student will have the opportunity to paint several backgrounds, depending on the detail and size of the background. Almost all of the materials will be provided by KPPS. Upon registration, students will receive a list of tools they will need to bring for this class. Students will be able to take home their favorite background. Others may be purchased for a nominal fee. Be sure to bring your paint clothes.

This year we've added a twist to the class Along with learning how to paint scenic backgrounds, Im inviting each student to bring along a prop such as a chair, a bench, blocks, tricycles, etc. that you could paint to match your background.  Not only will you be able to take home your favorite background, you will end up with a complete photographic set.
